Description

Phase Three, as we have initially conceived it in our first conversations, will expand on some topics that we were very interested in, but were not able to explore in Phase Two. This phase shares the initial goal to understand the different narratives related to English in our city and the language helps the city itself and its dwellers develop more nuanced spaces.

The City as Routes with individual and

collective narratives

Every phase is an expansion of the previous one. We have moved from looking at static spaces (Phase One) to spaces in transit and flux with individual literacy narratives (Phase Two). For this stage, we are interested in looking at what we tentatively call community spaces, or the different organic communities of affinity that English generates, due to the ubiquitous presence of this (and other second languages) and the new diasporas that we are discovering in Medellín.
